As we look back on another successful league season, there were the highs of almost turning over Wolves in their own backyard, gaining four points from our Lancashire counterparts Morecambe as well as doing the double over league 2 newboys Port Vale, taking league one side Tranmere to a live replay in the FA Cup, the first league hat-trick by a Stanley player for nearly fifty years, the tremendous run in March which yielded four wins and two draws.
There were lows like the home capitualtion against Bradford City in the last ten minutes of the game, the last minute equaliser for the "Champions" Brentford, at times we have made the headlines for the wrong reasons.
But that's what makes being a Stanley fan exciting, you just never know what's around the next corner
I think as a whole the team have played far better football this season, with the tightning up at the back, more flair in the midfield engine room and genuine exciting wide players on the wings, the only thing we have missed is a genuine 20 goal a season striker.
Without wholesale player changes during the close season and a few additions including a quality striker, the seats now in place, our managerial duo signed up and record season ticket sales.
Things are beginning to look a lit bit more rosier
