For me, Brand is best in his radio shows.
Ventures where he is the centre of attention or 'comedic frontman' (The Russell Brand Show, Russell Brand's Ponderland, his live stand-up shows etc.) never quite work because his lack of convinving material make his persona seem forced. And of course he can't act in films
In radio shows (or on the brief but brilliant
1 Leicester Square for MTV) he bounces off guests well and shows his superb talent for a comic quip. Or abusive phone call. Shhh.
I too am a fan of 'our Russell and have to lobby the existence of, and point to the location of his talents often. Much like Mulder with his little grey men. Ahh...
