The club should proofread the artwork themselves and sign it off. That's normal practice in the advertising and printing industries. I proofread for a living, amongst other things (although you wouldn't think it from some of my posts!), and I've offered my services on a number of occasions over the years, the latest being yesterday on this very thread...all totally ignored.
