Re: Massive THANKYOU to Burnley
[QUOTE=Doug;743525]So do those that didn't go. In my eyes an Historic event that will make all the differance to the end result. Again; Thank you Burnley F.C.[/QUOTE
Doug !. I join you and everyone in echoing the gratitude of us all to the Manager, Directors, Players, Staff, and Supporters of Burnley.FC..Would you not agree though that the collective events of last night were perhaps a defining moment in the S.O.S. Campaign so far ?.
This being demonstrated by the mass -feeling around rainy Turf Moor that what we were part of was a much larger entity than we had imagined it was going to be!....It brought home to me that the love, respect, and commitment involved in supporting our team, is superseded by the fact that THERE IS a larger 'Football Family' that cares for it's less privileged members when they are faced with life-threatening emergencies.
Last night, those inside t'Turf were not Stanley Fans,Burnley Fans, AND Blackburn Rovers Fans, or those from the far- flung municipalities in the Greater Manchester area, but rather ONE solid mass of Men Women and Young People who love what Football means to East Lancashire, and will not see one bit of it 'go to the wall' !!.
That's what I feel, and the knowledge aquired from it will strengthen MY commitment to the cause to hand, and undoubtedly give a boost to a confidence level that was ever-so-slightly on the wane!.
So, on to Friday !, which will, I suppose, be a test of the theory which I have expounded in this brief posting !.
' ON STANLEY !!...ON BURNLEY FC...and FOOTBALL!.....ON!!!!!'
