To be honest I'm beginning to think we shouldn't put anything on top of the coppice - the reason being that the people who will be in charge of any such project will no doubt be the same jokers who thought of the Accrington sign! I dont trust them not to make a complete hash of it and then we'll be stuck with some eyesore!

Theres not a cat in hells chance of them agreeing to both - and I'd be a bit dubious about the cost of any sculpture considering the 30 or so grand it cost for the cog outside Scaitcliffe House.
