There is an article in this weeks "Web user" mag
If your using a Dongle and getting bad connection then plug the dongle into a usb cable first then into the computer/laptop the cable will act as an aerial and can be moved around to get the best signal.
i don't use one so don't know if this works but its worth a go if your having problems
