But it only started raining hard in the late afternoon, before which the pitch would probably have been OK. Anything more than light rain these days and the zero drainage can't cope. MASSIVE, radical work needed during the close season to avoid any more of this in future seasons.
Just watch this game being re-arranged for May11th when I'm away on holiday.
