Thanks for the quick response Atarah and Retlaw. I Might not have phrased my question all that well - I didn't mean that I thought QEC was built on the site of Field House, just that Mr & Mrs Hack moved from there to QEC in 1959. Was it demolished to make way for the new estate? Although I've just looked at google maps and it looks as though the field where it stood is still a field, behind Wensley Drive and Leyburn Close.
