Re: Planning Applications
I wonder if anyone could point out where planning permission has been granted for the demolition of the old stone wall which cuts across the Church/Accy boundary on the south side of Blackburn Rd and is the northernmost perimeter of the 'Acorn Park' development.
This wall was probably built sometime between the construction of Blackburn Rd in the 1820's and the reservoir lying south in the 1830/40's (now Acorn Park). It was, of course the site of regular whitewashings following Church/Accy cricket matches and piccys of these go back to the latter part of the 19th C. I cannot see where or how it is now going to be reconstituted so I can only assume it has now gone for good and in it's place we shall all have a splendid view of some mickey mouse housing estate.
So...has this wrecking job been legal or not?
