I've no problem with people suffering a reaction to the jab and needing emergency treatment; that wasn't what I was saying. Reactions to the flu jab range from none at all to severe. But the simple fact is that from December to February, the NHS faces major problems caused by OAPs taking up beds with severe flu because they said no to the free flu jab; because of this, operations are cancelled in Oncology and Cardiology and people die who would otherwise live - all because of obstinancy, ignorance and an 'I know best' attitude.
That attitude results in a cost of about 500 quid per person per day to the NHS and when you multiply that by the number of people admitted each year, it works out at hundreds of millions of pounds - far more than the cost of treatment for people such as yourself who do suffer an adverse reaction.
