This is just a count of Accrington in 1911 taken from

Lancashire towns including Accrington, Bacup, Blackburn, Burnley, Clitheroe, Colne and Carnforth



'By 1911, Accrington boasted 14000 looms, 166000 spindles and more than 18000 people employed in some capacity in the textiles industry.'

I can only remember mainly the weaving sheds due to my parents working in them.

Noticed that Burnley had 100,000 looms !
