Yes Neil, also I had put a notice on my window that I was working at a residents on the window. The cretins put their sticker over it warning me I had been clamped. I contacted Blackburn Council whoi cofirmed the area I parked on was a public road. Furthermore their warning sign was posted illegally as it has to face all parking areas & be at a reasonable height to be seen. I wrote to the parent company who obviously recognised their signage was wrong cos it was miraculously moved on my 2nd visit, but they ignored my requests for a refund on the grounds specified. Another thing you can legally do is if you are friendly with your local garage who own a tow truck, ask them to tow your motor away from the area & they can legally remove the clamp at your premises or theirs. Still costs but not as much as the cowboys.
