I have no doubt at all what mine was, On the Sunday night before I was going to start work for the first time that Monday morning, as an Happyrentice Joiner at R. P. Townley's Burnley Road Acc. my Fathers said when you start work never be afraid yo ask if you don't know something, its far better to ask than to bungle your way through. That's something I always remember, plus another little gem never say "I know" ( especially when your learning) if you do nobody will tell you anything again
Nice one this Jaysay.
My mum used to infuriate me by saying "Show me your friends and I'll tell you who you are"
Funny she only said it when I brought someone hope that she had doubts about!!
Another one was 'Don't speak until you are spoken to'
THis has unforyunately earned me the reputation of being a rather 'cold' English lady over here!
