The first football match I ever saw was a team in Blue & White quarters against one in Red & White stripes.
It was at Ewood Park and my Uncle told me to watch the No 7 in Red & White - Yes, Stanley Matthews playing for Stoke before he went to Blackpool. Didn't encoyrage me to support Rovers though - they had those horrible thick cups to put the Bovril in, quite crude really so I eventually decided on class some 6 or so years later.
