She appears to have tied it down to 1968 as she claims I was 6 at the time. A little more info is that the Queen is carrying a small posy which had just been presented by the daughter of the then owner of the Dunkenhalgh. She can't remember her first name but the family name was Burrill or Burrell. This family also owned Mitton Hall in Whalley and were friends of my Grandparents.
Just read your thread from way back.The owner was Mrs Burrill,my nana and grandad used to work for her at Mitton Hall and sometimes at the Dunk.Head gardener and housekeeper.They were all good friends.My grandad took a cine film of the royal visit from inside the Dunk upstairs.
