Andy Owens has signed for Southport
Liam Watson, manager of Blue Square Bet Premier club Southport, concluded the signing of left-sided centre back Andy Owens after training on Thursday night.
Owens signs from npower League Two side Accrington Stanley.
Owens was born in Liverpool and started his career at Stoke City. He then played in non-League football with Stafford Rangers and Altrincham.
Owens trained with Glen Hoddle Academy in Spain before moving to Morecambe and Accrington last season.
Watson said: "Andy can play at centre back and left back which gives me versatilty and competition in the squad."
