The final straw came when I was asked what the postcode was for Manchester Victoria so that the operator could find it on her system.

I'm sure someone calling from Bombay would be just as impressed with my knowledge of India....
As soon as I here a foreign voice these days I just hang up, and if I need to contact anyone I just send an email these days
