They could also do a prequel -Lord G and how he persued and wooed Cora!
Never really been explained where the original family money came from either (before Cora's inheritance saved the estate) - presumably from the Industrial Rev...or maybe just landed gentry. Plenty of scope for other storylines I think -Fellowes is beavering away on them as we speak! Let's hope he comes up with something good.
