Hi I'm a new member, thank you for the welcome. I am researching my family tree. My Mother Mary J Shaw was born in Accrington 1901, the daughter of James Shaw a school teacher,who lived at 103 Manchester Rd. Mother, married
William Young Sept 1923 at Haslingden, he was an officer in the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, he was awarded the Military Cross & Bar in WW1 the address when applying for his medals = 50 Plantation St Accrington. Can anyone advise how i can obtain local records relating to this etc
