Gary I think the swimmer's cossy is inaccurate, don't know where you got the pic from but all the ones I've seen show him wearing a onepiece with straps over his shoulder. Shame on you as a fashion historian.  |
Apparently his swimming costume was red jersey.
He could have pulled the vest down, once he'd finished.
