You will get an idea as to where they were by looking at the various censuses and tracing the route taken by the enumerator. Another idea - check the various Barretts directories as there may be clues to be had from them, although in the case of small places such as Clayton, not all the streets are listed. So far as Accrington is concerned, Retlaw has compiled a list of Rows, Terraces, Courts, Yards and it is available in the library.
