Yeah, this episode was directed by Danny 'Slumdog Millionaire' Boyle. Which shows the the quality people who worked on the show. He directed probably the best Morse episode of all as well 'Masonic Mysteries'.
Lewis is a fitting sequel. But it's a bit like Christmas without the turkey. It's OK but something's missing. Plus I'm a bit uneasy with the change in Lewis's character to make him more morose. I know this is down to his wife passing away etc but in the original series he was more of a 'happy go lucky' counterpoint to the more serious, pretentious Morse.

To be honest ToffeeGuy I think Laurence Fox helps make Lewis watchable, think he's a better foil for Lewis than Lewis was for Morse
