Dry stone walls always bring to mind the Yorkshire Dales for me. Being limestone there, they seem to stand out more because of their colour, and they don't attract moss the way the sandstone ones in Lancashire do.
There are also miles of them in the Cotswolds, to me the part of England where the local stone is used to best effect in its beautiful villages.
