There isn't, that's why I try to get at least 3 bottles of a particular "Special". One to open & enjoy, the second to enjoy it again & introduce some of the peasantry I associate with to the pleasures & joys of a decent, not your standard run of the mill Whisky & the third to save for posterity & as an investment.
A little example, Feis Isle 2005 Bunnahabhain 12, Port finish - cask strength (766 bottles) GBP 55,00 at the time, seen on online Whisky sales/auction sites GBP
200,00 - 250,00 good investment to my mind.
