best atmosphere grounds?
just to move away from thread hi-jacking (sorry Phil) what grounds do you think have produced some of the best atmospheres?
I personally thought Gay Meadow was great for racket mekking, also in years gone by I always liked that crappy little tin shack at Chorley. Twenty of us huddled underneath that used to make some real noise.
Hopefully soon we can add the FES to the list but until we get some echo amplifying tin over our heads it wouldn't be 'up there'

Re: best atmosphere grounds?
Bury's Gigg Lane. Atmosphere was great, particularly in the last 5 minutes. All the Stanley fans were in full voice.

Re: best atmosphere grounds?
Always liked Christie Park, singing was always non-stop for the full 90 (& usually 10 minutes afterwards!)
Haven't been able to get to many away trips this season but the atmosphere at Rochdale was great - no home fans needed!

Yeh that was particulary a great atmosphere indeed - party on as stanley on as cart on hehehehehe
But ........... despite the lack of rooFFFFF at the FES - to me especially last few games triggered with torguay at home & importantly last saturday - it would be really frightening with a roof on hehehehe

Re: best atmosphere grounds?
That Bury match was the first stanley match i'd been to so will agree with bt lawson.
You cant beat the millenium stadium with the roof closed though.
After that it must be Turf Moor for atmosphere!

Why am i brave? You cant reach out through the computer and strangle me can you? Honestly though ive been to sheffield wednesday, turf moor, gigg lane, ewood park and the millenium stadium for matches. And you cant beat Turf Moor when its Burnley vs Blackburn!!! Especially when you go with your bro who is a rovers supporter and you go in the burnley end where all the nutters are and rovers score and your bro forgets where he is until hes stood up with his arms in the air and then realises where he is and ends up shouting out something totally different to what he wanted to say!!!
