robbie williams
reading on the Southport website that they are looking to finalise the signing of Robbie Williams today. Apparently the local Ladbrokes are rubbing their hands together and with the odds being offered Southport FC have given up any hope of promotion!

Re: robbie williams
No he wasnt a legend.
He was a conference player at best and 99% of people knew it.

Re: robbie williams
even if he was a conference standard player (not my opinion i would still have him in this squad) he played a major role in gettin this club 3 promotions. what qualifies being a legend. Boco helped with 1 promotion how does that make him more of a legend than robbie. always will be a legend to me. thanks robbie and good luck

Re: robbie williams
You would have robbie in THIS squad???
Sorry but we must not be watching the same game of football.
He made massive mistakes throughout his time in the football league and was probably betting on us most of the time anyway.
Good riddance.

phil edwards has made a good few mistakes these last few months does that make him a bad player too. imho robbie is better than kempson, and alot better than conference north standard

Re: robbie williams
Both Rocky & Cav were part of Stanley history, that is how it should stay!

Re: robbie williams
football is all about opinions and mine differs to a few. am not saying darren is a bad player far from it, he is a good physical stopper. i just feel robbie had abit more to his game than darren. robbie could play midfield and at full back too, he was very good at left back at the end of last season. i cudnt see darren playing anywhere else, they both make mistakes, if robbie had scored the own goals that darren has scored this year he wud of been castrated on here. that is why i think he is a superior player
