Jimmy Dunne
Sunderland fans not too impressed with Jimmy Dunne after Saturdays game vs Wycombe...
https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2019/03/1...t-wycombe-wan/
Some of the comments are surprising - especially if you take a venture back to the Sunderland fans forums at the start of his time with them when they were full of praise.
Dreaming - but what I'd give right now for a back 3 of Hughes, Sykes and Dunne with Janoi and Callum as wing backs!

Re: Jimmy Dunne
Maybe league two. The Dom is poor always blames other players you watch him always puts his arm's out as if to blame someone else.Johnson been found out good going forward not very good defensively.Dunne very slow did you not watch the Sunderland game? We miss Jackson end of

Re: Jimmy Dunne
Janoi needs game time to get back to his previous level, same reason Piero had to go out on loan...
Johnson not strong enough. Too easily nudged off ball. I do like him however and think he is a superb asset for the club.
Hughes is slow but was best defender in League 2 last season. Actually thought up until a few weeks ago he had been one of best in League 1 too, one of the best readers of the game I’ve seen.
Yes we miss Jackson, but surely we should be looking at what we have got and at the end of the day we haven’t had enough goals from anyone. Billy hasn’t had enough help, Clickers end product woeful and we really need our centre midfielders to pop up with some goals too!

Re: Jimmy Dunne
Agree about Hughes great reader of the game.Johnson's got no one pushing him for his place he knows he's going to get picked every week ? Think the Dom is poor but who else can play there wood is not up to it big Ben ?

Conneely was good last season in league two but that's it league two.not quick enough another one who's been found out.like Johnson pulls out in a 50/50 tackle ok both did well last season but that was last season?

Re: Jimmy Dunne
Couldn't agree more m'Lord I think several of our players are finding it much more difficult than they thought in League 1. I don't think that there is any lack of effort from the players it's just that some are not and never will be up to League 1 standard.

said this before we kicked a ball this season that some will flourish whilst the others struggled. thought johnson would be in the first camp and hughes in the second. shows i should stick to dog walking and not predictions.

Re: Jimmy Dunne
Couldn’t disagree more . The two players you have stated as struggling in League 1, One is already a Championship footballer for Ipswich who cost 750K the other had Brentford,Millwall,Wigan and Preston all after him in the January transfer window. Johnson is our best asset along with Sykes, top class player who will go far been in our top three players this season for me, underrated by many on AccyWeb. Donacien solid enough and solid L1 player. Jimmy Dunne called up for his country playing for a team like Sunderland regularly, great talent. Stick to the day job lads or are the professionals wrong?

Re: Jimmy Dunne
Sorry accyNew but the Dom is poor and as for Johnson his agent will have put that out about championship clubs after him. Don't believe everything you read in the press man.players go by Johnson sometimes like he's stud still did you see the first 5 mins at Barnsley? And the pen he gave away v Blackpool when he dived in like a Sunday morning player ? Obviously a family member Mmmmm.

You may be right about his agent throwing clubs names around however I am pretty sure the Preston Bid was well publicized and thought Mr Holt confirmed this on Twitter. As for the maturity of the last comment im going to ignore just because someone likes a player there automatically a family member . It Was a stonewall penalty against blackpool and thought he was poor in that game however playing at wing back not full back, while im on the 5 at the back subject i really dont think this suits us and the players we have, sorry to disappoint you but to expect any defender not be beaten from time to time at accrington your supporting the wrong club.
The comments about Donacien are very unfair the lad was bought for alot of money and was playing abit of football by one manager who wasnt in the job long before getting fired before another manager who had previous experience of dealing with and not playing Donacien came in and had already made his mind up on the Dom. Its the way football goes sometimes, the next ipswich manager might put him straight back in.

is he actually a right back though. came as a midfielder and would love to see him back in his original position. would be interested where he actually prefers to play and what position he thinks he,s best at himself.

Re: Jimmy Dunne
Whatever, the don is nowhere near the lad that left us, position may certainly be a factor.

Fitness may also have something to do with it, most of the players that return seem to want retuning to get back to what they were.
