Re: U's away
Playing better with 10 men than we did in the first half with 11....

Re: U's away
Well deserved draw with 10 men at Colchester. The home sides own goal came from an excellent cross by Mellor which was deflected passed their keeper. Hills sending off came after a ball forward by the U's went out of play and the on rushing U's player collided with Hill who I think raised his arm to rotect himself but was adjudged to have struck their player in the head....the U's player went down and rolled arround like he was badly injured....but after the card got up and carried on without sign of any injury. Would think it may be worth an appeal? ....WELL PLAYED THE MEN IN RED.

Re: U's away
Played a lengthy period with 10 men, anything other than a loss is a great result, well done Accrington Stanley.

Re: U's away
Looked like a very harsh red for Brad, and an over-hasty decision by the ref. That said, I thought we struggled today, and couldn't see where the equaliser was coming from until Colchester obligingly gifted us one. At least Adekoya had a pop when he came on, and from his reaction was very close to curling one in the top corner, but other than that very little to get excited about.

Re: U's away
Just watched the red back several times and - not wishing to be critical in anyway - Brad did not need to raise his arm, the ball had gone.
I know playing the game is different than watching, but that is how it looked.
A shame, as he is one of the better players and will have a very good career

Re: U's away
Agree, Val.
If the match video is the only ‘evidence’ then it would appear to be a waste of time and money making an appeal. The opponent ran into his arm/elbow but Hills did raise it unnecessarily. Another hard-learned lesson for Brad.

Re: U's away
Am I right in thinking Brad Hills will be available for selection on Saturday? Three games since he was sent off.......Does anyone know what his yellow card position is regarding suspensions? Also Shaun Whalley seemed to come through his hour at Wrexham OK. Let's hope this is the start of more players coming back.....
