Re: Statement from Andy Holt
I assumed it was Holt but there is no name to it and it is a bit of a rant that he isn't getting special treatment. He was vocal supporting far right policies and it is the best he steps away.
I was looking for Season Ticket news, the early bird prices normally finish around now and go on sale in March or February, but there is nowt.

Heard that too but thought it was more likely the announcement of prices was being delayed till we knew if we were staying up

Taking the statement at face value, I think he's entitled to 'a bit of a rant'
This is a man who's invested heavily, not only saving our club financially but developing the Wham into a decent stadium.
Perhaps your ludicrous last statement about personal politics hits the nail on the head.
Hynburns socialist council can't abide anyone who doesn't agree with their left wing ideology.

What a ridiculous statement.
But I await with baited breath for you and your “far left” friends to stump up the £millions it will take to keep the club running.

Re: Statement from Andy Holt
The devil is in the detail. The club should have got the planning application right in the first place but if the planning officer then said that everything was OK before the appeal, it does then look like someone at the council is playing games. The trouble is that we'll probably never know the whole truth. I'm sad to see him walk away and we'll definitely need money from somewhere but it also seems to be very much in his nature. All I can say at the moment is that the club must survive.

Without knowing the politics of anyone involved, I would gently point out that objecting to the antics of the "far right" does not make the objector "far left" - or vice versa! Whatever, this is a football forum ......

As a result of apathy and a low turn out at local elections, this is the result. Get more people actively involved in local politics to prevent a council such as this ever being elected again. Do they serve in a manner that meets the expectations of the community?
Look at Burnley council and see how they give full backup to their local football club. They recognise the club attracts people to the town and local businesses and the town benefit hugely.

When the retrospective planning permission was first reject in early 2024 it was Conservative led NOC. The Officers who really run it and make recommendations to the Members are the same whichever political party is in charge. Instead of criticizing the Councill he should have a go at who was in charge of building the bar - but is completely silent on that.

Khan didn't lump the debt on the club like Holt has, rising £10k a week. Khan also gifted his shares to the fans in effect. He seemed a very decent man.

I recall seeing all of the plans submitted for the new clubhouse development at the time, they were professionally produced & publicly available on the fishy site.
Are you implying that Coley's bar was somehow misrepresented. Or is it that some individual complained about the subsequent level of noise well after planning approval was granted.
You need only look at the fiasco surrounding the market hall closure to see what clowns are running Accrington at the moment. They've turned it into a ghost town & seem determined to do the same to our beloved club.
From your previous posts, you've obviously got a vendetta against Andy Holt, a man who transformed the Crown ground from an embarrassment into a stadium to be proud of.
