The cameras go wherever there is trouble, and there isn't any at the playground now the lights up.:)

8 meters? Did you have the right glasses on? It looks about four at the most.

How do you know there is no trouble in the play area, can you see it from where you live, just like Cllr Heyes.

Please read my post No 146, no it don't look like an 8M column, nor does the light look like an 100W lantern.
HBC's planning application was for just that, an 8M column with an 100W lantern on the end of an arm e.g. a side street light.
It is very clear from Neils pics that the light and column are not as per the planning application, therefore HBC are in breach of the planning application. So it is a good job I moved or I would be on to the Planning Enforcement Officer.

Yes we have a great view of it thanks.:)

All happy kids playing and no teenage wasters to report.:)

A couple of people have commented to me that there have been less teenagers hanging around the play area after dark.
It looks like a 150w or 250w sonpak type light fitting to me.

That's what I thought, not seen it at close range but if it is then HBC have left themselves wide open for the residents to complain if they want. The light is not what was specified in the planning application, HBC could be made to remove it.

My family home over looks the play area so we have a great view. Yes it may be a bit sad having a bedroom I still use at home as well as my own house, the one with the indoor pool I consider my holiday home.:). It's on eye level with the play area as well, we don't have to stand on a chair and stretch our necks, and peer over an hedge like they do on Park Lane to see the play area.;)

Ah, they've cut the trees down on the fielding lane side of the park, so that you have a better view.

I kind of think that problem will get passed onto another group of people very soon.

Aye you could be right about that, may be the grant will strech to security lighting all round the park, now that would be a good thing.

No, there are what we call gaps between the trees/bushes.

If you weren't such a naughty squirel I'd invite you in to see.

Ah yes the gaps in the trees down that side of the park, made it difficult for me to jump from tree to tree, had to scamper along the ground there, and risk being chased by a silly dog :D

Re: Park lights ?

Just been reading about your objections to the '8 metre' high light on Hynburn Life. Since you've now moved, have any of your old squirel friend's lives beeb blighted by this invasion of illumination?

Like I've posted, it's not 8 meters high, and has the illumination of a street light as can be seen from Neils photograph. I'm glad to report that your fears that this light would attract yobs like moths to a flame, has not so far materialised.
