Meet and greet

Thursday, 15th December 2005
3.45pm - 6.15pm

I'll be in the lounge at the Town Hall in Oswaldtwistle if anyone wants to come along and meet me. As I'm not campaigning yet, I want to hear everyone's views about Oswaldtwistle and about things that they would like to see happen in the town.

A few friendly faces would be welcome. Come along and say hello!

Surely not Gayle such an honourable man wouldn't stoop so low (I would though), he will no doubt turn up in person shake you firmly by the hand/neck* and wish you all the best in the forthcoming electoral joust.

I'm sure he will Less, and I will do likewise and wish him all the best!

Once again, I'm amazed at how you've managed to find such a perfect representation of me! But, in the interests of fairness you really should balance out your posts with some pictures of my opponent, I would hate for people to say that this site is biased!

Seeing as your not campaigning so you don't have to worry about the expense I hope you will be supplying chocolate biscuits with the tea and coffee.

I do have to be very careful about costs - I might be able to run to plain digestives, as long as you don't mind sharing!

You need to re think you budget policy. You can't bribe/persuade people to vote for you with plain digestives.

Gayle 11-12-2005 11:08

Re: Meet and greet

I didn't know you were so easy, Neil!!!!! If chocolate digestives worked with everyone I'd just buy a packet for each household and be done with the leaflets/campaigning side of things.

Re: Meet and greet

Would your £600 plus 5p for each person on the electoral roll stretch to that?

Gayle 11-12-2005 16:28

Re: Meet and greet

I don't know - I don't actually know yet how much my budget will be. It will be announced when I officially step forward for candidacy through the due process early in the New Year.

Re: Meet and greet

When you mentioned money the other day I was interested. The above figures are what I found. Might be out of date now of course.

Re: Meet and greet

In that case, that's going to be really easy to keep under budget - chocolate biscuits it is then!

How many houses/voters are in St. Andrews? Is it the smallest ward in Ossy?
