It might be someone new to the job that doesn't know their way around yet, I'm sure their boss will soon put them right about what area to patrol.:)

Maybe he or she lives here and was walking to Union Road to catch a bus.

They should try walking round in the evening when people park right at the bottom of Rhyddings Street on the double yellows making it hard for people to get in and out of the junction.

Or outside the shop where they park in the bus stop.

How about all the cars parked on the bend on Stonebridge Lane or where the residents complain at every Area Council Meeting, the bottom of Fielding lane outside the car repair garage.

On Union road where the cars park on the pelican crossing zig zags so they don't have to walk more than 10yards to the cash machine.

There are enough places to patrol in Oswaldtwistle full time.

Maybe we should have our very own traffic warden. After all HBC keep saying we have half the population of Accrington - how many wardens do Accrington have?

lol I wish Bridget Jones is my life story :-) no I got a parking ticket the other week in town: so not my fave people... still my own fault I was 4 mins late back to my car: I am going to kidnap them all and feed them on bread and water for a month or maybe two

entwisi 29-01-2007 13:47

Re: A traffic warden in Ossy?

4 mins? you sure?, I believe they have to give you 5 minutes at the end of any defined period. At that amount of time I'd argue that I was still within my time limit.

That won't ever happen. A certain Council leader had no parking on the verge signs installed a couple or 3 years ago but has so far done nothing to stop people who ignore the signs.
