This forum needs a moderator!
 

We need a moderator for the new Oswaldtwistle section of the site. If you'd like to have a go please email roy@accringtonweb.com
The moderator would need to be from Oswaldtwistle and actively encourage Oswaldtwistle people to come to the site and post here about Oswaldtwistle, as well as organise this section and make sure it is free from forum evils!

hehe - can't you tell i'd been drinking in that reply! anyway, let me take this oppurtunity to point out that a moderator should not only be in charge of looking after the forum and keeping bad posts and bad language out, but also try their best to get the forum going and participate in it - so, as i said in the first post, this forum is in need of a moderator....

Well just to moderate a single section I'd say as long as you pop on once a day to check it out you should be ok. We have several people monitoring the forum as a whole for funny business so you don't need to worry much about that. Also when a user reports a post then an email is sent to you, so you know to go and check it out. The main requirement of any moderator for specific sections is to get it going and keep it going. Making posts and what have you and promoting it. Obviously an interest in the forums topic is essential! :)

Len & Mick I won't be in trouble at all because a) Roy never reads anything that I post (it might cost him money) & b) Roy doesn't read his e-mails either, (this is a proven fact because if ever you send him one you won't get a reply!).
