no. I must make clear. I think vandalism is a terrible terrible thing. But i just resent the common belief that all graffiti is catagorically not art.

All unwanted graffiti on private property is not art and it is not wanted. I have no problem with legal walls either

All property is owned by somebody - what you call public property belongs to us - the majority of us prefer it not to be adulterated

I think most of you are probly old timers that are completly out of touch with the youth. And i suspect most of you associate hip hop culture with crime.
It kind of defeats the object to do it on your own property.
A legal wall would be a great idea, but i doubt it would solve the "problem".

Anyway. Don't get me wrong, i think those pink tags are an eyesore too but i suspect your collective dismay runs deeper than just the appearance of it.

Do I NEED credential's?

Not to say that I don't have any. But I fail to see the importance.

King grubb - I'm an "old timer" and I think Banksy is great - but stick your own graffiti on your walls and we'll come and judge it there - if your mum lets you !

Re: Grafitti around Ossy

Sorry about the old timers comment. terribly disrespectfull i know. Not gonna help me if i want to make people take my point seriously is it?

Anyway. Shall we settle on a more pleasant term for such people? no. lets not pigeon hole people.

Sorry everyone.

Re: Grafitti around Ossy

Would you like to suggest a term? I don't know what "such people" as you put it call themselves. They get pigeon holed as youths but I would like to know how they see themselves and how they would classify themselves.

Might be a hard question because I am not sure how I would classify myself.
I am 39 with a wife and 5 children, 2 of them from a previous marriage who are a little older than my last 3. I work and and get involved with community projects.

Most people class me as a sarcastic bar steward, which fits quite well really ;)
