Ossy is a great place!
 

Well, I have now lived in Oswaldtwistle for 2 weeks and I have to say, it has been one of the best places I have lived.

Maybe it is because I am landlord of the best pub in Ossy that the people here have been so friendly but what ever the reason, I love it here.

In fact, I have friends moving up here in the new year from Birmingham and Essex to live!

I think the community spirit is awesome. My partner and I are obviously not local people and we thought it may take some time for people to get used to us but it seems, you get on with people who you treat right and that is what we have done.

At the Black Dog, we want to bring new excitement to the area. If you have been into the pub since it reopened last weekend you will know, we have been making some changes with things such as the music but it is still a local community pub.

We would love to welcome a group meeting of Accy Webbers if you wish to come along one day.

I have a 20yr old grandson who lives in Ossy.
On Christmas day, I overheard his friends commenting on the Black Dog.
They were very impressed.

I love ossy too :) I moved here from padiham about 18 months ago - its a much nicer place and the local pubs (especially at the top end) are a great place to go out - the atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming and I wont be moving anytime soon! xx
