Land required for metal detecting.

I am a keen metal detectorist and was wondering if any members have any land that I could search. I live in the Oswaldtwistle area and would be very grateful if anyone could help with my hobby. Anything found on land belongs to the landowner and will be shown to them. Anything over 300 years old has to be declared to the coroner, but a financial reward is given to the finder and the landowner. I have public liability insurance and follow a code of conduct. All holes are dug and filled in with minimal ground disturbance. All trash (cans, pull tabs foil etc) will be removed and recycled.

I also offer a free search and recovery service to anyone who has lost something of value ie keys, jewelry, tools etc

Also are there any other members who are detectorists?

So if there are any farmers Or know any landowners who have a field I could search I would be very grateful.

Many thanks.

Sorry Katex, I've sent you a PM. I hadn't updated my new email address so I wasn't getting notifications of post updates. It was only through Neil getting in touch that I new you had replied. I bet you were getting really angry after all your hard work, sorry again.:)

No, not angry .. don't do angry .. just frustrated that you were missing what seemed a good opportunity. Great to hear from you .. hope you find this helpful and will have good hunting if you decide to go ahead. Any Roman treasure, I expect a cut .. LOL.

Thanks Neil.
