Re: wallpaper?
There are some excellent photos on this site: Astronomy Picture of the Day Archive
Someone else on Accyweb originally posted this link, so I can't really claim credit for it. I have photos set as my wallpaper on two different laptops. |

Re: wallpaper?
I have the picture from June 6th 2007, "Dust Sculptures in the Rosette Nebula" as the desktop background on lettie's computer. I like the combinations of the blue & gold dust clouds.

Re: wallpaper?
I use my own photos. I've got one at present, which I've had for ages, with a lovely blue sky and palm trees.

Re: wallpaper?
I have a picture of Siobhan on my laptop, its a strange one really, I didn't like the picture when I took it as she was moving so there is a little bit of blur round her hair and shoulder but then I made it sepia, did selective colouring so her face and hair is 'normal' colour and added a small amount of Gaussian blur and its completely changed the picture. A lady I worked with says it makes her look like some 50's film star. I'll try and post a thumbnail of it when I get home (didn't bring my laptop to work today)

Re: wallpaper?
I like the selective colourisation technique, normally I'll make it B&W but this one just cried out to be sepia.
Let me know if you want the workflow, its actually very easy to do. |
