On checking facebook its says to remove mobile contact, you need to disable the feature on your mobile.
How did such a feature get on a mobile in the first place.

Read my post above with the picture, you decide what people see about your profile by selecting the correct options. It has nothing to do with your phone

I have never ever opened facebook or looked into a post or thread whatever so I think I will be safe from prying eyes. My mobile number, which is M478089477746664646372723464444 will surely not be listed then. I don't often carry my mobile phone because the thing is very heavy and the strap digs into my shoulder and the antenna pokes me in the eye.

I will explain again for those hard or hearing :D

Facebook only knows yours phone number or anything else if you put it in your details.
You then set up your account to display what you want.
Facebook does not magicly find out your number and post it.

You should check you account and see what you are displaying, its up to you what you show to others.

Oh I don't know jaysay, my old mobile had a A and B button but my new one doesn't, so if I am not connected I don't get my two pence back. Just another way of getting money out of us pensioners. I believe these new fangled mobiles take photos, videos and play music and must always be used in places like doctors or hospital waiting rooms for telling others who are sat minding their own business that they are sat in a waiting room hoping for another months sick note.
I still practice the black art of sending Morse code to communicate with friends around the world at no cost other than the initial outlay of the radio gear.

Bring back the hand looms and kids up chimneys, horse drawn brewery drays the rag mans trumpet and streets full of people trudging to work every day.

Unless your's is a steam powered computing machine?

Yes, I heard about the electricity thing which comes down the wires a few years ago. It is much easier than having to start the old Douglas twin petrol engine in the shed, this is geared to a 24 volt dynamo which in turn charges batteries, these are connected to the 24 volt bulbs, which I used to borrow from the LMS single compartment railway carriages, to light my meager garret.
That was what I had to do when living up Sharneyford in Todmorden.

Back to this faceybook thingy. A friend of mine met an old flame via facebook and has now left her husband for him, there must be some good in it after all.

Yes, she started a Facebook group, asking if she should leave for pastures new.

We had to vote.

;)

Apparently it was her that inspired the people powered insurrection, we are currently witnessing in the Arab world.
