I can never understand why people put all and sundry on Facebook, this is just another stupid woman who obviously has no brains

We did not go as our little one was ill. Went out for lunch instead so we did not have to leave her with Rhonda's parents for as long.

I commented before that the first thing the divorce solicitors say is do not use facebook until after the divorve is completed as so many people use it as evidence what the other party is up to

No - it's only people who have chosen to put their mobile numbers on their profile and make that information available to friends (or friends of friends, or everyone). Those people in the list have chosen to make the information available to you - you can also see it on an individual profile by clicking "info" on the left and looking in the contact details that come up at the bottom of that page.

People forget that Facebook is promoted as a social network - the whole point of it is to make it easier for people to remain in contact with each other. That does not gel easily with privacy concerns. You can't have a truly social network unless people can see enough about you to see if they want to communicate. That would be a bit like having an ex-directory number and then wondering why friends that don't have your number never get in touch.

Personally, I think it's a waste of time, but the people I know who really love what it does for them (and the ones who use FB to promote their business) are also the people who have their mobile numbers on display and their information available more widely.
