Spam Mail
 

Has anybody noticed an influx of spam mail recently, over the last few days I've been getting spam from loads of different companies in. selling Watches, life cover, and from credit union score, national accident helpline, pro video gamers, accident advice line and more. Its not as if I've changed my Internet usage, over the last month I've on been on here BW and Youtube, is anybody else got an increase in Spam?

Can't say I have, could it be that you have recently been in more regular contact with your libido?
Therefore you would be giving your email address to a few extra iffy porn sites?

Na Less, the only sites I've been on recently are here and Blackburn Web, plus Youtube, ain't even been on wiki for ages, yet this influx has started within the last seven days

Some body is skimming addresses from Facebook & other such sites, and selling them. Several have come to me as Retlaw Semloh, when my daughter put that name on Face Book, when it should have ben Semloh Retlaw.

People are always searching the net for email addresses. Dont display them or if its facebook only to your friends

In the last two days I have only received five spam e-mails.......4 of them about a bigger male member....I'm thinking of e-mailing them and saying 'yes...send me one....I can use it as a door stop' :D

Oh i get loads of those about 20/25 a day,plus same amount of Viagra uns, reckon there trying to tell me summat,?:D

Most of my spam is blocked by BT...the rest by incrediamil....I reckon that ie why I get so little......oh yes...I also politlely ask those who I send e-mails to...if they are passing my e-mails on...to remove my address.

That is a crazy amount. Who do you use for your email, you might want to think about changing something to reduce that.

Have used same one fer years neil, twas Wanadoo, then Freeserve took em oer,then Orange took them oer.:confused: aint been on e-mail fer around 30 mins, just checked it n deleted another 22

no idea,many go in me junk mail, but still gotta delete em regular. cos junk mail only takes 1000. never get pop ups,so assume i must have one

Pop ups are a think of the past, must be 5 years since I had one, certainly never since I changed to Broadband

When I used Outlook Express for mail, I too had a 'junk overload' problem.
I downloaded a spam filter, but that very soon filled up, and never really cured the problem.

I reverted to web mail - problem solved.
Your ISP filters out junk before it reaches you.
