Homepage submissions.
 

Is it true that if you have your own website and you don’t want to pay for submitting you site, you have to keep submitting your site to these free submission sites like goggle or yahoo etc, once a month.

Or is it that once these other sites have your URL it is always there.
Or is it that these other sites find your site automatically by way of bots etc.

It’s just that it is a pain having to keep submitting you sites URL and info to these other sites once a month

Is there an easier way?
Does any one have any tricks that we can use to submit our sites?
What is best?

Any info on this subject would be most appreciated.

I don't know much about anything other than google. With google you never even have to submit it. As long as other people link to you then google will find you. One of the most important things to improve your listing in google is links from other websites. This improves your pagerank and generally moves you up on certain search terms. I have not submitted any of my sites! And look where we are for the term accrington.
