Church Clock

Don't know if this is the right place to put this thread in or not, but i suppose it will get moved if not.

Got asked this evening, how old is the clock in Church and also if Church Clock is the correct name? Felt slightly ashamed because i lived in Church for the first 24years of my life and also still go down pretty regular. Anybody know the answer?

Re: Church Clock

It was erected in the early part of 1939 (February, I think) & I believe it's correct title is Church Memorial Clock. Some of you who were in the Stag on the afternoon of Sunday 30th October will remember that a replacement plaque was unveiled, although no one bothered going out for the ceremony. Its probably been vandalised by now.
