I've never heard of it either.

However, there is mention of Rock Haugh Clough on some HBC documents on the web. It doesn't say were it is though.

If I had to guess I'd say perhaps it's near Jacob's Lodge, or perhaps going up the valley towards the Coach and Horses pub, in the area known as Cockerlumb, where there is a waterfall, though it isn't as spectacular as the one on the postcard.

according to a book we have here titled west penine walks, the said water fall is at the top of belthorn rd ..between there and the grey mare pub ..i did try to upload a pic and map but the images exceed AW limits and im not sure how to resize , but the pic is very similar to the one posted already...

My Mum took one look at it and recognized it straight away. She said they just used to call it "The Waterfall"

Re: Rockhaugh Falls, Ossy

Yeah Belthorn is classed as Ossy. Its got the Hyndburn signs when you enter. And my Mum seems think the Ossy boundry is just before Edgeworth in one direction and Hoddlesdon a bit further along. I did once hear that boundry wise Ossy is one of the biggest towns in the country. Don't quote me on that one though. :)

Ossy is actually bigger in area than the city of London.

Whoops, wrong thread!

Where's the one for useless bits of trivia?::D
