Anybody got any pictures of houses on Castle Street or Mary Ann Street before they were demolished ?

I have recently discovered an ancestor living on castle street on 1881 census , its not on any maps any more so i assume its been pulled down years ago but i wonder if it was near the Castle Pub ?

Castle street is still there but its now part of the East Gate bypass, all the houses have gone, but a bit of Mary Ann St, is still behind the Castle pub.

Quite right, Castle St was only the one block ran from Whalley Rd to the bottom of the pleck, Finished by the side of the Australian Inn on left going down.:)

More un likely "D" Though thinking back we occasionally were took down to assembly,after prayers,If Lol had any announcements to make, Seem to thinking caning us was one of em.:D
