evans bros, was in greengates yard, off whalley road, started serving my time with that firm as apprentice slater and roof tiler, it was rough, then went to spencers at Sydney st, that was worse, I worked for a firm called mangan&charnley,enjoyed working for them, last job was the garages for a funeral parlour, on left just under railway bridge, on willows lane, wolstenholmes,

His Father was Walter Keeley Plumber and Stanley footballer.
Bob also lived next door to Bill Clooney who started his apprenticeship 12month's after John
