Weaving Department M.S.T.

I have an old pattern book from my grandpa which has "Weaving Department M.S.T." embossed on the spine.

What does M.S.T. stand for?

If you struggle on this, ask the staff at Queen Street Mill, Burnley. They have a large textiles library

I'm beginning to think it may be Manchester School of Textiles, although Google doesn't turn anything up.
