Any info on the antley name

Thanks for having me, I recently visited your part of the world and was shocked to notice all those places with my name on, antley street, antley garage, and antley dentist. Does anyone have info about the origins, or is there a website on the subject. Thanks for reading.

Retlaw will soon be telling us just when the earliest references to the Antley name occurred. He has a searchable database......There is a Lancashire Place-Name Society. Drop a line to the sec - [email protected] and ask if he can suggest any meaning. I think the word is linked to an area or perhaps a field
