Re: worst band/group you ever heard.
I went to see Van Morrison many years ago and although I still like some of his songs I have to say that his live concert was atrocious. He was drunk, slurring, talking absolute rubbish and unable to sing properly. He was also quite abusive to the audience - not a good evening.

Re: worst band/group you ever heard.
thats rock n roll mrs.
sorry i had a Lemmy Motorhead moment there... |
Re: worst band/group you ever heard.
No, rock n roll is a bl**dy good show - Van Morrison shouldn't have missed his AA meeting that night.

Re: worst band/group you ever heard.
Ooooh Gayle I couldn't think of who to go for on this thread and you've brought it all flooding back to me, did you see Van Morrison at King George's? I remember seeing him there mid 90s, it was sooooo bad, all seated, very boring. Another concert nightmare was Maze, very popular at the time amongst my friends, in the late 80s. Not my cup of tea! They paid the price though, coz they had to accompany me to Terence Trent D'Arby hehe (oh the shame)

No, I saw him at the Apollo in Manchester, it must have been about 1984/85 ish I think. My parents were going with a couple of friends and then the friends couldn't make it so they offered the spare tickets to me and my friend. We said yes because it was a free night out! |
Re: worst band/group you ever heard.

Re: worst band/group you ever heard.
I can't be doing with Marc Allman & Soft Cell either.
Remember Chicory Tipp with Son of my Father..I mean what a stupid title.. although I was young at the time & bought it. But still we all make mistakes |
