The 2 raised rectangular sections on Pic 2 suggest they are for tightening the device down, but threaded for a 4" rod?
If it was 4" BSP thread i would think it was for a fire hydrant connection or similar, think you have got me on this one Retlaw - another clue perhapse - plesae, pretty please with cream and sugar |

I keep returning to a valve of some type, 3/16" D operating lever to move the valve head from position to position - steam valve? - perhaps to pressurise and then release the pressure to a cylinder.
Hey Retlaw, it is many moons since i had anything to do with mechamical devices, except the ones that discharged things from a rifled tube. Stumped so far on this one, but might have a better idea if i could make out all the lettering:-) |
