Wish I could enlarge 'em!

Can I go again, or do I have to wait for someone else to answer, as in the other quiz?

I recognise Jean Simmons' profile in #2, but don't know the film.

PS judging by the costume it could be Young Bess

Also looks a bit like Olivia de Havilland in The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex??

Even though it was black and white, could be a coloured still.

6. Destry Rides Again?

Am a bit stumped now.

Did do a bit better in this quiz, twenty six years before I was born,
than the 2009 one.

Two of my favourite fims were made this year, The Cat and the Canary, and The Women.

Nor forgetting The Old Maid, Dark Victory, The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex, and Juarez.

Can't think why I love them.

Or Miss Lombard in In Name Only?

It has her eyebrow, but might be too young.

I don't think we've got number 2 yet, either.

No, thank you for doing the quiz.

I enjoyed it.

Though I should have cheekily asked for a ' purely soppy films of 1939 quiz', if I was going to stand a chance.
